South Carolina community foundations provide a simple, powerful, and highly personal approach to giving. We offer a variety of giving tools to help people achieve their charitable goals –and create lasting good work in their communities.

Community foundations are tax-exempt charitable organizations created by and for the people of our communities throughout the United States. We enable people with philanthropic interests to easily and effectively support the issues they care about β€” immediately, or through their wills.

Donors can establish a charitable fund at the foundation by contributing a variety of assets and may also recommend grants β€” in their name, if they choose β€” to nonprofit groups they want to support.
